Seven-year-old Karina lives on the beaches along with her family. She is overly pampered by her father, to the chagrin of her mother and siblings. One day, she runs off and decides to sleep in the dunes. A young couple, Mariana and Rodrigo, encounters the girl. They try to help her, but the next morning, Karina disappears.
